Hey Kickstarters & Poster People!

Dave Berns of Hot Damn Arts here, because, well, I would like your help in producing my next art print...

As you can see, I have created a fun, dare I say epic, illustration, mashing up two of my favorite things in Pop Culture... The King of Rock & Roll, Mr. Elvis Aaron Presley and the greatest and certainly most quotable undead horror comedy... this side of Dead Alive and Shaun of the Dead... the Bruce Campbell/Sam Raimi popcorn classic, Army of Darkness. I've had this image rattling around in my head since I first saw this flick, nearly 20 years ago. (Holy shit, I'm fucking old!)

I am making a limited edition screen print of "Hail to the King, Baby" available for sale in January of 2013.

In order to offset the modest up-front costs (I'm a Dad & Homeowner, so every little bit counts!) of creating the prints, which I will hand-pull under the watchful eye of Iron Forge Press' Master Screenprinter Chuck Loose, I'm offering a discounted pre-order of the them here in my first Kickstarter campaign.

Pre-selling the majority of the run would be a phenomenal success for me, and I do want that to happen. That said, I've set the goal relatively low, by most Kickstarter campaign standards, because, in all honesty, the cost of materials is not nearly as high as the investment of creative energy that's already in the can. While I'm fully confident that I'll recoup the investment of both in short order once the prints have debuted at a Ink & Pistons' Nerdcore art show and are made available to the collectors' market via hotdamnarts.com this January, it'd be great to not have to outlay the cash to do so.

If your a fan of mine, the piece or its subjects... help me make this art into tangible form with a swift kick to the ass of confidence and cash to cover the costs of the poster's production ahead of time.

At base minimum, the print run will be as follows:

50 Standard Edition Prints on French Speckletone Natural, 8 Variant Prints on Chipboard & 4 Variant Prints on Wood in 3 colors, Blood Red, Florescent Blue & Pearl White.

Bump funding goals are as follows:

• If the funding exceeds $600 I will double the print run of all three versions.

• If the funding exceeds $800, I'll add a fourth ink color of metallic silver to accent some of the details.

• If the funding exceeds $1000, we will include a bonus print of our choosing with every fulfilled order (a $30-50 value).

I reserve the right and intend to reprint this poster in the future and exploit it in other mediums at will, but this First Printing will be strictly limited to signed and numbered editions of no more than 100 on Natural French Speckletone, 12 on Chipboard and 8 on Wood. It's going to be a fine print you will want in your collection.
