Held in Austin, TX during the week of SXSW, Datapop is one of the top 8-bit music events in the country -- we need YOUR help with artist travel costs.
Austin’s Alamo Drafthouse and New York City’s 8bitpeoples, 2 Player productions, and the people behind the Blip Festival have joined forces to create the premiere party during SXSW week, DATAPOP: A Celebration of 8-Bit Music and Culture - March 16th and 17th.
Now in it's third installment, Datapop will be held at Austin's very own Highball - a hybrid entertainment venue that features the best diner this side of 1960, eight lanes of bowling with rental by the hour; seven different themed karaoke rooms; four lanes of skee-ball with ticketed prizes you won’t find anywhere else and a ballroom event space that will be transformed into a unique cultural hot-spot featuring sets by 12 international 8-bit artists on a full concert stage with professional light and sound system.
We're reaching out to the community of music lovers and 8-bit fanatics to help us cover basic travel costs for some of our far-flung artists.
