Why This Project? Let Me Tell You...
The Endeavor: So we've got the script finished... now what? Lets bring some talented people on board to recruit other film savvy people. Okay. Then lets put out a casting call and start getting actors aboard. Cool. Next our locations should be set and signed on. Got those release forms. Schedule scenes to be shot starting after the holidays. Check. Wardrobe and make-up tests should start here. Everyone looks great. Now we start storyboarding and rehearsing the scenes to be shot. Great eye. At last start shooting and viola! We have a movie right? Almost...
The Dilemma: See we did all of the above. What is keeping us from really getting into the filming of the movie is financing. While we wrote this movie to be low budget because of the great pool of resources and talent available to us for free, there are a lot of daily expenses on set and in post production a feature film needs to be able to see the light of day. While about 10% of the film is finished, our own personal funds have run dry and we NEED YOUR HELP to fund the rest of our film! What is your donation going to?
*All the remaining large scenes involving a licensed Armorer and blank shooting weapons as well as the blanks themselves
*A Cinema Zoom lens for our wider, larger shots we have left
*Permits
*Errors and Omissions insurance
*Daily lunch and dinners for the cast and crew

These things have been shopped around to find the lowest prices available, not a dime of this is going to cast or crew as we are doing this for free or on deferment! With your help we fill finish this film in 3 months! Have it ready for film festivals and potential buyers!
Faultline returned from the AMERICAN FILM MARKET in Nov. and gained a wealth of knowledge and contacts from the annual event in Santa Monica, CA. With this knowledge we plan to make the film available in as many accessible avenues possible once it's been finished and put in the hands of distributors!
The Story: The Cooldown is an action/comedy/suspense film, that tells the story of a petty gambler who gets himself in debt to the notorious gangster, "The Great" Gatsby. Posed with two options: Take on a heist or face the wrath of his hounds. Charlie "Nix" Nixon decides the first option is better for his health... maybe.
Gathering his mentally unstable cousin Ritchie "Two-Bit" Diamante, tech guru, Spencer "Hal" Halloway and child hood best friend, Donald "Dosey" Beauchamp they set off on their heist. Quickly the story unravels as Nix and the gang find themselves in deeper with the added bonus of crooked/double-crossing detectives, Russian strong men and bag suffocating gangsters as their lives snowball down hill. They must band together to try and beat the clock before the notorious gangster cashes them in... all along asking the question: Who is the Great Gatsby?
Our cast is 65% set. We have actors from feature films, TV and theater. We even have PAUL NEWMAN'S nephew!

Faultline Productions is an independent company formed by actor/director duo Matt Sparks and Jered Allen to bring the talents of young filmmakers and actors together to make movies and show that a large price tag is never needed to make one when you're driven, dedicated and surrounded by talent.
Out of high-school, Matt was a civil engineer that after 3 years decided that what started as a hobby thanks to his up bringing at his parents video store should be his main focus in life... a director was born.
After high-school, Jered was flown to Tampa, FL to try out for the New York Yankees. After the camp, the Yankees put a contract on the table and Jered respectfully declined saying he just couldn't take up someone else's dream when his passion was somewhere else... an actor was born.
Having been part of feature films, commercials and music videos for the last 11 years, Faultline decided that 2012 would be the year they made their feature film. So they emptied their bank accounts and got a truck with grip and lighting gear, a new camera rig and along with their Director of Photography and talented people that shared their dream started The Cooldown.
