Hello World,
The Boxing Lesson is a psychedelic space rock band from Austin, TX. We are relentless in our quest to make music that is not only pleasing to us, but universally understood. It has been a while since our last album Wild Streaks & Windy Days came out and we have been busy soul searching, songwriting and crafting an awesome new full-length album.
The new album is titled Possibilities and it is absolutely our best material to date. The songs and sounds we are creating are inspired, catchy, noisy, lush and deep. We are seeking funding to allow our work to come to fruition. We need the additional funds to finish tracking, mixing, and mastering this album, so we can put it out to you.
We are excited to finish tracking and mixing with industry renowned producer Chris "Frenchie" Smith at his Austin studio, The Bubble. Frenchie has worked with some amazing artists we admire including Explosions in the Sky, Dandy Warhols, And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, and Meat Puppets. We are super excited to use his ears and studio services. Once mixing is done at the Bubble, we will take our tracks to the mastering stage to have a complete cohesive hi-fi album.
Every dollar we get will be used toward financing the recordings. We live for this music and this band. Internationally releasing this new album is a dream of ours. If the stars align for us to receive more funding than we ask, we will use the money towards tour costs, publicity, radio promotions, etc. You will be helping with anything and everything to do with the new album.

With three EPs and a full length under their belt, The Boxing Lesson blast off again to explore uncharted territory as a new rock duo. Haunting vocals and moody melodies are punctuated by mesmerizing guitars, droney beats and expressive electronica. Paul Waclawsky's guitar dances close to Jaylinn Davidson's wall of synth creating something magical and mammoth. The Boxing Lesson plays "space" rock that can transport the listener to another dimension. The upcoming LP, Possibilities, is a voyage through their analog oscillating dreams which evolve into a beautifully dark and refreshing affair.
