One week left to meet our goal! Meet Athena in Chapter 1 of the HD tour documentary!
The WAVE OF GENEROSITY AND SUPPORT (hoped-for, but until recently unimaginable!) has us ENERGIZED AND READY TO GO. Thanks to you, we've passed the halfway point of our $8,000 goal! We can't thank you enough for helping us edge closer to getting on the road, and we're looking forward to putting donation rewards in your hands. The new Bottlecap Boys t-shirts look amazing, the bottle openers are ordered and we've fielded an impressive variety of cover song requests. Very exciting.
And oh, speaking of exciting, WE FOUND OUR BUS! Your donations bolstered our confidence in reaching the goal before the end of our Kickstarter campaign, so when we found a perfect, inspection-passing beauty of a bus, we couldn't afford to let the opportunity pass. We've named her Athena, who in Greek mythology accompanied heroes on their quests and was the goddess of wisdom, courage and the arts. Now, it's more important than ever to find the funding to bankroll our faith-purchase! For a trial run, she brought us to a raucous show at Squirrel's Lounge in Corvallis last night (four broken strings in one night: a new record!). She's already gorgeous, but wait until we finish her paint job... The decision to fully wash, sand, wash, tape and paint her was motivated by legal restrictions on her present "National School Bus Yellow (NSBY)" color, but check out the paint job below, and you'll see how worthwhile the work will be!
We have one week left to raise the remaining $3486 of our goal. So close! We're reaching out to everyone we know to ask them to help us finance this incredible bus, to help us bring our music across state lines and to be a part of this summer tour and many more to come. $3486; that's just forty album/t-shirt packages, twenty photobook/hd tour documentary packages, three personally selected cover songs and a private show!
