Thank  you all so much - we made it!!

I'm grateful for your support, which goes well beyond having advance orders for the book.  Your encouragement, conversation and enthusiasm has been a big help in refining the purpose and direction of the whole project. 

The campaign ends Friday at Noon, so we have another day and a half for people to pledge support and claim their limited-edition rewards.  Dollars pledged beyond our original goal will certainly help improve our book release efforts, so feel free to keep on sharing the link. http://tiny.cc/beervangelist

Wow - it's been an exciting week, and it's only Tuesday!  First and foremost, I'm happy to tell you that "Beervangelist's Guide to the Galaxy" is 62% funded with nine days left to go! It's really encouraging to get the backer updates from Kickstarter and feel all of your support. Thank you all for stepping up and making it happen!

I've been busy preparing for New Holland's Wholesaler Summit and Blue Sunday next week, as well as the Michigan Brewer's Guild Winter Conference, which starts tomorrow.  I'm honored to head up the effort of creating the menu for the Thursday night MBG Conference Dinner at the Kalamazoo Radisson. We're serving thirty two beers, paired with sixteen different dishes at four stations which are organized by flavor family. Of course there's another thirteen beers at Station Five with various cheeses, meats and salads. It's a complex endeavor, but a delicious one. I'm looking forward to the flavorful camaraderie that is always the most fun part of the evening.

I'll also be presenting and exhibiting the book project at the MBG Conference, which should help energize our last nine days of funding.  Very shortly afterwards, we have several cooking sessions scheduled, where we'll be shooting photography for the book.

Thank you all for your support! It is encouraging and exciting to hear and feel.  

I've been in Denmark, for the Christmas holiday, which has been quite an inspiring trip,  I've spent the time with family, learning more about the historic traditions and meals across Juleaften, Juledag and 2.Juledag.  (Christmas Evening, Christmas Day and 2nd Christmas)  This included Julefrokost, a Christmas smorgasbord with nine-plus courses over eight hours,  celebrating my inlaws 55th Anniversary.  It's been fun to enjoy all of the eating, drinking and asking questions, while in full "book mode."   I was even lucky enough to talk to Slagter Lund (Butcher Lund) and learn about the butchering of Flaeskesteg, a pork roast that I've been thinking about dreamily since my last trip here, five years ago.

With 21 days left, the project is essentially 20% funded, which is a really great start.  As you've likely read, in order to receive the funding you've all pledged, we need to reach 100% of the $10,000 funding goal.  I pledge to manage updates and postings as responsibly as possible, as I don't want to crowd inboxes and news feeds.  However, we'll need to keep getting the word out, so I'm certain you'll hear from us a few times more.
