HELP US MAKE ROCK AND ROLL REACTION VOL. 3
Hey everyone - we are The 71's from Houston TX. We have made a couple EP's this year (Rock and Roll Reaction Vol. 1 & Vol. 2) on our own, played over 60 shows this year and now we want to make our Vol. 3 a FULL LENGTH STUDIO ALBUM... which requires a little help from all of you.
THE STORY OF ROCK AND ROLL REACTION
In April of 2010, the fellas and I decided we didn't want to just release an album every 2 years like most bands, we wanted to start releasing music once every 6-9 months - why keep you good people waiting!?! This way, the songs are more reflective of where we are presently as people and songwriters, and more authentic when you hear them.
In order to do this, we realized we needed to write a lot more songs, test them by playing a lot more shows, and learn how to record records on our own - and do so on a very tight budget. This process has defined who we are as a band, and changed our lives.
The last 18 months have been revolutionary for us as individuals and for the music we make, and as the final chapter in Rock and Roll Reaction (Vol. 3) emerges, we want to do it justice by presenting it as a full-length studio album (12-14 tracks). Here's where you come in, my friend.
We are a completely independent band (we chose not to rely on a record label's backing in any way) and are reaching out to our fans and friends to help us fund the record. There are some great fan incentives for all you potential contributors, so be sure to check those out.

HOW THE FUNDS ARE USED
Valve Studios, Dallas TX - This is where the rock and roll happens. It will be our home for several days.
Will Hunt - Our friend who helps us make the records. Will works with Amy Lee from Evanescence and a host of other great acts (The Burning Hotels, Green River Ordinance)
Packaging - Yes, people still buy CDs and yes, we like to make them for them.
Extra Funds? - Should you be so generous, we will be planning nation wide tours to play shows for you fans in the north east and west coast, who we never get to see - fingers crossed!
