Update #4: Haiti Fundraising - Project Update
Hi all,
Due to Kickstarter policy, which does not allow projects to change scope mid-funding, we and Julia have opted to cancel this project. If you feel moved to do so, please make a donation directly to Julia's organization of choice, Partners In Health (http://www.standwithhaiti.org/haiti), or any number of organizations currently working in the country (GOOD magazine has assembled a few here: http://www.good.is/post/a-list-of-ways-to-help-haiti/).
We were so thrilled to see such a strong outpouring of interest in supporting the Arts, Culture and Technology Meetup financially. I think we can all agree that it's quickly becoming an essential New York event. For those interested in supporting Julia directly, shewill be starting a Kickstarter in the coming months for a personal project related to #ArtsTech, so please stay tuned. In the mean time, we hope to see you at the next Meetup on February 3rd for Social Media Week :)
Thanks so much, and happy Thursday.

Update #3: New Project Goal: Fundraise for Haiti
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Per Julia's request in light of the recent events in Haiti, we have changed the scope of this fundraiser to focus on relief efforts in the country. Your donation will be funneled directly to Partners in Health, and we are working to ensure the transaction fees from Amazon are waived.
We totally understand if you have another organization of choice for Haiti. To adjust your pledge, please visit the project page and click “Manage My Pledge." We do apologize for any inconvenience here.
We will be formally updating the page later this evening but wanted to get this information out to you all. Thank you!
Update #2: Spread the Word!
Hey Folks!
Thanks so so much for giving so generously to this project. We are nearly halfway there, with $870 pledged to Julia's SLR. It's an amazing amount, considering that Hrag and I only sent out a few tweets and one blast email.
Now, we need to step up our efforts. Hrag and I have been directly emailing a number of folks, as a lot of them are busy and likely missed the tweets and messages.
But we can't reach everyone (Julia has too many friends to keep track of!). Would you be able to reach out to any of your contacts who have attended (and hopefully appreciated) events in the past?
If you can, feel free to link directly to the page (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thatwaszen/help-julia-kaganskiy-continue-to-build-artstech-and). There will also be a Hyperallergic post coming soon (stay tuned to this blog for details)
Thanks so much!

Update #1: What's your Twitter handle?
I know a few Twitter handles but am having trouble linking names with handles. Please share your Twitter handle here so Hrag and I can thank you publicly!
