Update #3: Open Source Platform
All resulting applications will be open source. If you plan to publish on your own, you will need to be a registered and approved developer for each platform you plan to use. In some cases, like Amazon's Kindle, access to severely restricted. Publishing to the Kindle will require you to work with a registered Kindle developer.

DAVID CORNELSON is an entrepreneur in Chicago, Illinois developing a Mobile Interactive Story Publishing business.
Textfyre is currently working on interactive story engines for all mobile devices.
Textfyre is also developing several lines of products, with two entertainment products already published, a third nearing completion, and a fourth in development. At least two sequels are planned for all four products. We're also developing a web-based portal.
What is the difference between an "application" and a "story" in this context?
A story will take the open source code and compile to something. So in the case of Android or Kindle, the results of using the KDK Jar and your UI code and your FyreVM story file would be a new JAR file. We will open source FyreVM and a basic implementation of the UI for each platform. You could write your own UI code, but you would not need to implement FyreVM.
