About this project

Hello, and welcome to Telling Stories! We produce funky, unstuffy concerts that feature professional classical musicians and essayists. We’ve played Bartok in coffeeshops, Bach in breweries, and premiered new compositions in art galleries. For the first three seasons, our musicians and writers have donated their time and talent to help us get off the ground, and now we're seeking micropatrons like you to help compensate them.

Update: We started our season excited that Colorado Public Radio would be producing our concerts as a radio show. Unfortunately, they have just informed us that they no longer have the means to do so. We are committed to not only performing our live concerts, but to also producing our radio show independently. It'll be like we're an even more indie version of Ira Glass. Okay, that might not be possible; we'll just be a more scrappy version of Garrison Keillor.

Our fourth season starts on Oct. 3, and every dollar you give helps support musicians and writers who are working hard not just to share their art, but to share their art with a new, young audience. (Most of our audience is in their twenties.) Beyond our concerts, we're also doing outreach in local colleges and high schools.

We've been working hard to make your dollars go further, too. We’ve cultivated over $1,000 of matching donors who are ready to match your donations dollar for dollar. We'll be updating weekly with our matching dollar amount -- pop in and see when you can double your money. For more information, check us out online at www.tellingstoriesmusic.org.
