I think no one will be surprised by my proclamation that words fail to express my feeling of gratitude for your support, but.......words fail to express my feeling of gratitude for your support. Thank you.
Last night I found a picture from a 20 year reunion photo shoot of the movie"The Princess Bride," and was once again reminded of the importance of this move in my life. Whenever a piece of art or entertainment touches us deeply on an emotional level, it is wise to be open to excepting the level of impact that work had on us. And while there may be a fine line between drawing on that experience and that of giving over to nostalgia or even possessing maudlin sentiments, celebrating a piece of art or craftsmanship can be a healthy thing. While I harbor no assumptions that the music that I help create would have as deep an impact on people as "The Princess Bride," or Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" has had on me, I do recognize a sense of community from this experience which has it's own deep and profound impact. If you have participated in this beautiful, crazy experience out of a sense of love or because you genuinely feel some connection to this art, (or craftsmanship, you decide) my feeling of being connected to you will last the length of my existence on this giant (or small, again you decide) floating ball of molten metal.
Again, thank you.
