30 Day Pirate Mayhem Raid in Ireland and the UK ....
We're a roving band of crazy pirates ready for some mayhem, parties, and performances that is a theatrical art project that will take Ireland and the UK by surprise. Within 30 days, the crew of pirates will venture and expand in numbers as we record the madness with a daily updated adventure web blog, e-newsletter, and finally a full-color photographic journey accompanied with the story of the adventure. We're raising funds to cover the cost of the theatre, photo shoots, events, travels, and publication of the book. Depending on our funds, we will also be working on creating a video project. Along the journey we'll also record various famous pirate sites, ships, as we seek out Pirate lore across the countryside.
We're starting off in Dublin, Ireland with activities across the Green Isle only to finish by crossing the sea over to the UK. We need a minimum of a $2,000 to make this happen, but preferably aiming for $10,000 to make it the explosion we want it to be. Its a bringing together of Pirates from far and wide ... on a quest of history, art, theatre, photos, and ships ... and are targeting a raid that might get us a chance to get a pirate ship. If we do get her, or another ship, then those at the pledge level that made it happen, will be invited to party with us upon her.
Regardless though, land, sea, or sky ... we're taking the Islands by surprise. If this theatrical performance is successful, more booty will be had ... because thanks to you ... the impact might just make that come to fruition. We start to raid Ireland as soon (or even before) we get your pledged funds ... but the funds are integral to make our adventures more crazy, more wild, and more rampant as well as producing a beautiful photo journal and publication of the expedition. You want to be proud of an artistic project that will make waves? Help make it happen ... because with your booty, there's plundering to be had. Not only are we targeting high for a ship - which this quest will broadcast a treasure map to such hidden wealth on our secret web site (supporters get access to) where we'll publish photos, adventure tales, and accounts of the raid. The more pledges and supports of Pirate "Argghhh ...." you give of dubloons of splendor, will make the theatrics, raid, and actions even more wild. The more you bring to the chest, the more locations outside of Dublin, Tullamore, and Cornwall we'll visit with Pirate Madness. We're beginning it with lighting the fires atop a sacred hillfort, followed by a sieze of a haunted castle and a outrageous Madhatter's Tea Party and campout you'll never forget, ending with an expedition of pirates entering the magical land of faerie lore. Lots of photos will be taken and not only published on the secret blog, but published in a limited edition print and e-journal telling the history, the tale, the raids, the raves, the parties, the plunder, with full color photos of this adventure of a lifetime. If you like what you see with this experimental art project, more will come in the near future ... If we get to bring our theatrical troupe of pirates over from North America, the publication will turn into a video project that will become a DVD.
