Teagueduino: Back from New Orleans
Teagueduino has raised $55k so far! Thanks to everyone for backing the project! With 286 backers at the moment, that means you have 285 people to share ideas and explore the possibilites of Teagueduino with. Not sure about you, but we're pretty excited :)
Last week we had the pleasure of putting on two workshops at this year's IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America) conference in New Orleans. It was a wonderful experience to be given time with such motivated makers. For all of our participants: thank you for coming! We know an hour goes by quickly, but we are excited to see what everyone starts to make when your kits finally arrive.
Watch the video along with this update for a quick recap of just some of the tinkerings that came out of the workshops.
Things will keep moving more and more quickly for us. We're pulling together our parts lists and talking to suppliers so that as soon as Kickstarter wraps up in 15 days(!) we can get a head start on getting our orders in.
We've also been working on the user interface for Teagueduino. In particular, we noticed that some of the darker colors were hard to read on projection screens. For all the teachers out there we've lightened the interface and brought in some more contrast where we could. Since showing the application in realtime is a great way to introduce people to the software, we think this is a pretty solid improvement. We'll be continuing to make UI improvements, and we'll keep you posted over the next several weeks as the website goes under the knife.
Thanks again everyone for supporting the project. We've still got two weeks left, so be sure to tell your friends, family, or your employer about it. And be sure to get in touch with us if you have any questions. Our prototype kits get back from New Orleans tomorrow; anything you would like to see us make?
