About this project
Hailed by Sequenza21 as “one of 2009’s most promising new groups,” The Syzygy New Music Collective is now gearing up for its next concert. The group’s next major event is slated for April 23rd at The Nabi Gallery and we need your help to raise funds for it!
The concert will feature the works of Jakub Ciupinski, Ricardo Romaneiro*, Alexandra DuBois, Ronnie Reshef, Danielle Schwob*, Adam Schoenberg and Scott Ordway*, with performances by Kinga Augustyn, Frank Tyl, Alicia Lee, Maria Teresa Sepulveda, Emily Dufour, Sarah Carrier. It looks set to be a great evening of exciting music! (*world premiere)
Since Syzygy is a young organisation that is funded almost exclusively by its members and through the generosity of the public, we need all the help we can get. Your much-appreciated donations will go directly towards the production of the concert, helping us to cover: advertising costs; instrument rental; printing costs; and, most importantly, allowing us to pay our musicians well. It will also ensure that we are able to keep tickets for the concert as “suggested donation” only. Please consider that by supporting our organisation, you are not only helping us to cover our expenses, but are supporting the creation of new works and fostering the careers of young artists.

Founded in 2009, the Syzygy New Music Collective is a new music organisation geared towards creating performance opportunities for and commissioning works from young and emerging composers. Working with a roster of accomplished, young instrumentalists, Syzygy hopes to champion and find audiences for the innovative music of today’s up and coming concert composers.
