BRINGING IT TO FRINGE: 

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR HELP?

You mean besides paying the IATSE stage hands...? Oh no, wait that’s Broadway…sorry...never mind.

Producing theater in New York is expensive. I'm so thrilled and honored to be a part of the Fringe Festival. Fringe absorbs the highest cost, the cost of renting the venue. (Phew).  But apart from being published on the Fringe website and hard copy brochure---we're on our own.  

We need your help to raise the capital to make SWEET TOOTH possible and affordable for you and others to see! 

The money you contribute will go directly to:

·       Materials for making props

·       Materials for building and painting scenery

·       Renting lighting equipment

·       Costumes for Sam and Emily

·       Paying our artists and collaborators

·       Marketing and promotions

·       Music and sound design

·       Fringe Participation fees and costs.

THE SWEET

SWEET TOOTH is a welcome artistic challenge. It is an intensely actor and character driven piece. Vail and Nora are deceptively simple, on paper their interaction reads like a straightforward conversation. I was so lucky in finding actors who could see past that into the interactions and psychological reality of teenagers. There are layers of juicy subtext and hidden motivations to interpret. There are exciting opportunities for physical interaction and flirtation that must be created with exquisite detail and precision.

Our actors, Sam and Emily, are young, tenacious, talented and daring performers. They both give standout performances, I am thrilled you'll get to see them in action. It's really exciting.

**Producing SWEET TOOTH is also a big deal because it's an original play. There is no source material here: no movie that starred Merryl Streep, or best-selling she-dies-in-the-end novel giving us credibility or marketability. No no. We're all new. New ideas. New Talent. A NEW American play being produced in New York. HELLOOOO.
