About this project

Our story:

Hello Friends! Thank you for checking out our page. For most of you who do not know us, here is a little background about Berenice and JT.

Sweet 1985 was started by Berenice and Jt in 2009. We met back in 2004 in San Francisco when we were college roommates. After many years of friendship we decided to start a jewelry line that’s not only edgy, fun and eclectic which reflected our personalities, but also a company that’s conscious to being eco-friendly and to help reduce the carbon footprint. Sweet 1985 believes in green initiatives, locally conscious sourcing, and bringing cultures together. Everything is handmade with love in New York and California.

 Why we need you:

We’re currently designing and producing everything in our apartments in New York City and San Diego. With your contribution, we’ll be able to purchase better tools, materials, outsource to local production, mold and cast and get a PR firm to help represent us.

Since we’re self-funded we have limitations to what we can do and cannot do, but with your generous contribution, we’ll be able to test out new materials and play around with new ideas for our upcoming collection.
