"Renaissance Faire : One Year of Building the Past" Follows one faire from their last day 2011 to their last day 2012.
" Renaissance Faire : A year of Building the past" is a documentary following the process of putting together, and running a renaissance faire over the course of one year. I will follow the "Midsummer Fantasy Renaissance Faire" from the last day of faire 2011 to the last day of faire 2012. Every meeting, every setback, and every rehearsal will be captured and put into a 2-hour film.
This faire is a new and unique faire. It blends the traditional elements of a ren. faire with fantasy. Elves, faires and orcs are a common sight. This faire is also headed up by some unique individuals. The owner has never owned a faire before this one, the general manager is a magician,and the acting director is a former stock broker. Together these elements make for an interesting faire and film.
I will also travel to several other faires, and ask how they became successful even in the current economic climate. I'll ask about the humble beginnings of those faires and how they reached the top. More info to come on that part.
The more support I have the better production will be. I am asking for the bare minimum for production. The funding, if complete, will go to equipment and production. The filming process has already begun and will take over a year to complete.
Right now filming will follow through all the way to mid July 2012 and editing will begin in August 2012 and end sometime in early fall. The film should be finished, and out just before 2013.
