Funding for The Dirties on Diapering was not successful the first time around and after many people asked me to, I re-launched trying to give it a second shot! However, funding seems to be even more difficult the second time around -- we seem to have more small pledges but our major sponsors are yet to be seen back! I would love to see Grovia, BumGenius, and Diaper Junction re-join the cause by re-submitting their pledge to Round 2! If you would still like to support this project, you will need to re-submit your pledge on my newly launchd "The Dirties on Diapering, Round 2" page here: http:kck.st/aHh49E Because the first attempt to fund this project was unsuccessful, nobody was charged and all pledges were void. Enough people wrote me asking to re-launch the project, so I am very excited to be trying again! I am currently doing giveaways to backers only (of any amount) during the new launch, and any companies interested in giving away an item or two to help promote this project and your company please email me at SugarSnapPhoto@gmail.com. If the project is successful, I am still excited to give a dozen cloth diapers of any type/brand to one random backer. I also created a more informative video for the new Kickstarter project page. It's more of a slide show, but I think it's less distracting for people to understand the message. Again, any company interested in pledging at least $500 will get their names in a special thanks section in the book, along with the company logo and this time around you will also get 500 words to describe your business. Many of the smaller backer rewards are a bit more interesting and exciting too! This week I will be contacting both cloth diaper companies for their support, and local culture newspapers in the Portland area. I would love for everyone's help to spread the word in their area. Hello Everyone!
So as everyone knows, the funding for The Dirties on Diapering was unsuccessful the first time around. However, I am going to try one more time! I plan to launch my project again in the next couple of days. I would love to see everyone who pledged the first time pledge again! Nobody was charged the first time around. Unless the project meets funding goals, nobody is charged. It's an all or nothing deal. That's to ensure that the project can meet promises made. It would be difficult to both complete the project and give backer rewards without proper funding. My video for my Kickstarter page this time will be a slide show with information for backers to share with friends that may not know the health risks disposable diapers create. Hopefully this will help grab more people's attention and get more people excited to spread the word about the wonderful world of cloth diapering! Many people also don't realize how easy cloth diapering is today. Modern moms still envision pre-folds and rubber pants! There are so many different types now for many different type of people and situations. There are AIOs, AI2s, hybrids, Stuffables, Woolies, and more! Also, last time I noticed many backers pledged at the very end when they realized funding was not being met. This time I am hoping to find some great companies or etsy moms excited to promote their products with giveaways during the pledging process. I want to give away goodies big and small to random backers, hoping to encourage people to pledge earlier this time. If you are a mom or company interested in giving away a product, I would love to hear from you soon since pledging will begin in the next couple of days and will last for 30 days. I'm sure you have already seen that my first attempt to fund this project through Kickstarter was unsuccessful. I will be starting again real soon. I want to do some better planning for round 2, so it may be a week or so before I go again. But I will definitely find a way! Today is the last day to make pledges toward "The Dirties on Diapering"! We're 36% funded as of this morning. I know we can do this!!! Let's spread the word!!!

However, I know you are all asking, what happens next if it doesn't succeed? Nothing? Well, sort of. Nobody is charged unless it's successful to ensure that everyone gets the proper rewards. It would be hard to fulfill rewards and do the project without proper funding. So! The next question is... what am I going to do if it's not funded today? I'll probably launch the project again! That will give us more time, however, it will also mean we'll be starting over and everyone will have to re-pledge all over again.

But I'm not thinking like that yet! Because miracles happen! We all know that! Just look at our precious little ones! They are the biggest miracles of all. And that's exactly why I'm doing this. Thank you again to all of the wonderful people, companies, bloggers, tweeters, facebookers, emailers, callers, etc. that have been helping! Only hours left! Let's go get 'em!
