SugarPine - Northwestern Bluegrass Band, world domination starts here - say you knew us when...

SugarPine: Roadless

On the basis of a demo CD with four cuts -- and the musical reputation of the SugarPine band members -- this start-up band was booked into five Northwest bluegrass festivals in its first season together.

They had a lot going for them -- Yvonne's singing and songwriting, Steve's attitude, Matt's perfectly-coiffed hair, Garrett's stage patter and Anna's Chris Thile repertoire.  But they were missing something big -- merchandise.  Specifically, a CD.

So they've just entered the studio (and not just any studio: Dale Adkins' Big Owl Studio in Salem).  Prepared with Yvonne's popular originals (Dennis John; Lonely Wind; Borrowed Time), plus songs written by Matt and Steve, some newgrass standards,some Ian Tyson and Gordon Lightfoot, they are ready to start recording their debut CD (working title: Roadless).

Now there's just one other thing they're missing.  Cash.

That's where you can help.  If you were one of the many folks who asked for a SugarPine CD last summer, here's your chance to make it happen.  They're hoping to produce and distribute this project by spring.  Thanks for your support.
