Thanks Johan! We're on the last mile right now. Getting ready for a few more all-nighters this weekend when the opening animation comes in and we work on the final "supers" (names, dates, etc) and end credits. Lots of on-the-fly tweaking, but we should have a film next Tuesday! Then it will be a year of showing the world on behalf of Tohoku.

      Cheers!

This whole Kickstarter thing is just like "It's a Wonderful Life."

May I call you "Jimmy" Stuart Levy?

Only difference is that people of Bedford Falls donate to Jimmy because he already helped the town and made a lot of differences. On the other hand, Stu-san is going to change the world from here and now with this film, all interviewees & all backers.

The backers around the world are like “Hee-Haw!” to you, Jimmy-Stu san.

Andrew, if we don't make it...and that's looking like less and less of a possibility and like getting to $20,000 is, if not a certainty, at least something we have a good shot at doing...we will press on anyway. Because the project really is that important. I should be looking for gainful employment right now, but instead I spent my entire summer after finishing film school on this project, making zip-zilch-nada-bupkis.

People have seen too many talking heads talking about what they think should happen with the reconstruction of Tohoku. They haven't heard enough from the people who live there, who are dealing with unprecedented destruction, whole towns wiped off the map. We will finally let them speak for themselves. We are going to step out of their way and let them talk. I am busy right now with making the raw translations flow as English language subtitles. I'm taking a break to check this out, but I gotta go back in and put my nose to the grindstone again.

We are determined to make this happen, whether we get this money or not. And I think we have a good shot at it the way we are positioned right now. Yoroshiku.

Only 5 days left and still a decent amount to go. It sounds like you are working on the project and hopefully finishing it anyway. What happens if the goal is not met by the deadline?

I'm not religious so I don't pray for anyone. While I may not believe in god, I do believe in you Stu, and your cause. May everything work out for you and all the best. This is definitely a most worthy project.

Thanks Charles and Marco! Our little volunteer group is putting in long days and nights and so far we're pretty proud of what we've got. Lots of amazing interviews on the cutting room floor which I hope to bring out onto the Web after we're done. Very much appreciate the support and hope everyone is moved by the final film. Spreading the word is really key - arigatou!!
