StudioCherie launching 2 new product lines with highest quality bags, accessories, sewing patterns and notions made in USA.

I am Cherie. I sew a lot. I also write sewing patterns. The pattern part of my business has been supporting the product part of my business for about 4 years and I need to change that. I believe my products are great enough to support the expansion of my pattern business with 2 new lines, printed patterns and sewing notions.
Where the money goes
This is where you come in. The rewards include some of my most popular products. Your pledge will fund the first sustainable run of these products and a new line of sewing notions and printed patterns.
10% of each pledge goes to Kickstarter and Amazon for their services.
About 40% of your pledge will go toward fabrication and shipping of the rewards. I will be buying fabrics by the bolt. Each bolt of fabric will produce about 10 duffles or 25 tablet cases, so the more support for each product, the more variety of fabric choices there will be. My minimum funding goal will create 5 fabric choices for each product. I use only the most popular American designer’s fabrics. A portion of your pledge will go toward activating one or more local workrooms just like mine where women sew from my patterns to produce my fun products. This is what it will take to fulfill the rewards.
About 15% of your pledge will go toward the materials, set up and precision cutting of the new notions line. Precision cutting will speed our production process tremendously and open up a new product line that will be especially exciting to DIY brides who want to make 25 or more luggage tags at a time. The pre-cut sewing notions product line is only possible with a successful Kickstarter campaign. The pre-cut stabilizers to make 25 luggage tags are one of the backer rewards. And the precut pieces for the Kindle Fire cases are included in the rewards too for those who want to set themselves up to make and sell the cases.
Lastly, about 35% of the funding will go toward the design and printing of a new line of printed patterns. The luggage tags pattern pictured in the rewards is my first sample of that line. Kickstarter backers will be able to choose rewards from that new line as they roll out. My intention with these patterns is to sell them in quantity to quilt shops. Buying these printed patterns one at a time will only be available to backers. The production of these patterns will take up 35% of your pledge. I intend to have 6 patterns ready to print at the close of the project and another 20 ready in time for Quilt Market in Portland in Spring 2013.
A leap of faith
I have been dreaming of these new product lines for about a year. They are only possible with a successful Kickstarter campaign, so I hope you find something in the rewards you want to get for yourself or as a gift. Many thanks for your support. I am excited to get these projects rolling.

New Rewards
I plan to add a couple of rewards as I can. The first is these fingerless mitts. If you have already pledged and you would like to add on one of the new rewards, just add the new reward amount to your current pledge. I will be communicating with you before I send the rewards to make sure you are getting exactly what you want.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
The only challenge I can anticipate for this project has to do with materials availablity. I have anticipated this and limited the number of rewards promised by a certain date. If any of the rewards sell out, I will add more with later delivery dates. I have accounted for all of the costs involved including materials, labor and shipping, so I know I will have the funds to deliver the backer's rewards.
I have made hundreds of each of these items myself and I know exactly what goes into them. If I receive amazing support for this project, I will add additional delivery dates and make more products available.

You can see my current PDF pattern selections here:

I have a few more patterns I am working on right now, and those should be added to the choices by the time this project funds.

When you pledge on Kickstarter, your account is not charged until the successful conclusion of the campaign. In this case, that will be November 18th. On the 19th of November, you will receive an email survey that will walk you through choosing your reward. When you answer with your choice, I will email you the PDF pattern.
-
Yes, I have just added the Nook to the $46 level reward. At the successful conclusion of the campaign, you will receive an email with a survey that will ask for which tablet you have and what fabric you choose.
-
The way it works is you pledge once and you can add more $ to your original pledge to cover the amount of the other reward(s) you want. When the project has funded and you get the survey to make your choices, you can remind me what you want. You can also send me a message here on Kickstarter.

You can see more examples of my duffles and read all of the details here:

To get more than one of any of the rewards, simply pledge the amount of the value of the rewards added together. If you want 6 PDFs, pledge $30 and choose the $5 reward. If you want 2 pairs of bootsocks, pledge $44 and choose the boot socks reward. If you want a combination of things, just add the amounts together and choose one of them as your reward but pledging the total of the rewards you want. You will have opportunity to tell me exactly what you want in the survey at the end of the campaign. Or you can always send me a message any time to clarify.
