Timeless words of the Bard, a fresh perspective from today, and hip-hop music combine for an evening of theatre you won't forget!

Second Thought Theatre (STT) invites you to support our upcoming production of THE BOMB-ITTY OF ERRORS, a hip-hop musical adaptation of William Shakespeare's THE COMEDY OF ERRORS. This fast-paced, energetic show brings Shakespeare’s classic comedy of mistaken identity to new life, infusing it with rap, hip-hop, and rhyming that will have audiences laughing out loud and dancing in the aisles.

Second Thought Theatre has assembled a dynamic artistic team to helm this production.

The first thing we did was hire the divinely talented Amy Anders Corcoran to direct.  Her work has been seen all across the country from San Francisco to New York City to Dallas.

The next thing we did was bring back long time STT friend Heath Gage to completely re-compose the music and bring a contemporary flair to the show.  Hear a small sample of the music in the video above.  Trust us, you will love it!

The team is rounded out by assistant director Ted Wold, costume designer Caitlin Rain,  assistant producer Kelsey Head, lighting designer JoJo Percy, production guru Shawn McCrea, and Brittany Noll, stage manager extraordinaire (returning to STT for the 3rd time!).

For the cast we are welcoming back to the STT stage long-time collaborators Steven Walters and Drew Wall.  Both haven't been on our stage since last season when Steven was the one man tour-de-force in THOM PAIN (BASED ON NOTHING) while Drew played the central character in the powerful ensemble piece RED LIGHT WINTER that left audiences breathless.  To join them in this production we are introducing to our audiences two new faces - Joseph Holt and Zac Kelty.  Joseph is a graduate of the Meadows School of the Arts at SMU and has been seen in shows all around the metroplex.  Zac arrives at Dallas via Brisbane, Australia where he is a Core member of the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble.  In a cross-polination of ideas, Zac will be using our music and production of BOMB-ITTY to inspire his own production upon his return to Australia.

This incredible cast of four plays every role in the show - 21 different characters in all!

We have all the artistic elements in place, now all we need is a little kickstart. And that's where you come in!  Help STT bring this exuberant show to the Dallas Community!

The Bomb-itty of Errors was written by Jordan Allen-Dutton, Jason Catalano, Gregory J. Qaiyum, and Erik Weiner and is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.  All performances will be held at Bryant Hall on the Kalita Humphreys Campus, 3636 Turtle Creek Blvd. Dallas, TX 75218.  Vist www.2tt.co for more information.
