My name is David Alvarado and I am a filmmaker in New York. I've got a BA in Radio, Television and Film from the University of North Texas and a MFA in Documentary Production from Stanford University. I cut my teeth at the Dallas area PBS station KERA Ch 13 before moving to San Francisco and working on furthering my directing skills. This project by Jason and David who seem from my investigation to be really on top of all the latest information about the future of aging is probably the absolute most important issue of the 21st century. If science, which it seems it will unless we collapse financially here in America, discovers the way to alter the telomerase endings, we will have to make a radical change in our mentality on how to deal with the future. Talking about economics now and Social Security, medicare and how much we need to have to pay for this and what ages to retire at etc. are issues that need to be thrown out the window right now if we accept this future of living forever or even to 120 to 140 which doesnt even need genetic change.
We need this film right now and not wait another day to let the public and the politicians know what is happening. If this film is produced, it will bring up the most important issue of the 21st century and after 40 years of studying this, I am convinced this is an absolute necessity to put this in front of the public ASAP. I am happy to donate at the producer level and contribute at much as possible on an active level. You need to grab up the other levels to take advantage of what you are able to contribute both financially and with your time. These guys are super.
The Methuselah Generation is a very impressive subject to capture. The trailer is engaging, entertaining, and I am greatly anticipating the end result. See you soon in Hong Kong working on your other film. All the best.
