Update #4: Less Than a Week
A quick thanks to everyone who has donated and spread the word so far. We have only six days left, but any little bit helps. The film will continue regardless of its success here, and that is in large part thanks to the many people who have helped spread the word. One way or another, the sheer joy that is freestyle walking will grace the silver screen in sparkling HD and some 24p.
Please let people know on Twitter, Facebook, e-mail, or even - yes, its possible - in person. Thanks again for all of your help, and please be sure to follow on Facebook for the progress of the film.
- Jason
Update #3: Why Chicago?
That might seem like a silly question. The film is obviously centered in the Chicago area. But its also a homecoming, of sorts, for me. I went to film school at Columbia College Chicago. I'm proud to call myself a graduate of that school. If I hadn't gone there, I never would have met Mike Rempert, I'd never have learned that this sport was a huge prank, and I'd never have started this amazing process and met so many wonderful and brilliant people.
My co-writer, Ray Nowosielski, also attended Columbia College and will be one of the members of our small crew. We'll both head out, with Brandon (also LA-based) in tow, and sit the four guys down together for the first time since the video aired 15 years ago.
This is not just a film of passion - it's about passion, as well. Four guys wanted to do something funny, pulled a prank on MTV, and it turned into something that a bunch of people ended up being very passionate about. Maybe not everybody fell for it - some of them might even have been making fun of what they saw - but it brought people together. Please help us make "Lords of Soaptown" a reality.
Thanks again,
Jason Klamm
Update #2: 40 Days to Go
Thank you SO MUCH to all the people who have donated so far. We have 40 days to raise the remaining $19,145. Keep in mind, if we don't raise all of it - we don't get any of it.
Please continue to spread the word on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, and anything else you can think of.
Thanks again,
Jason

Hi Jason-- With only hours to go, I wanted to contact you & let you know: if you don't meet the required amount in the remaining hours, I'll still honor my $25.00 donation, if you want to get it privately. Bob Wiltfong spoke very highly of you, and I would help out with any project that featured Bob, albeit briefly, as in LOS. You can contact me at: prodougie(at)aol.com
Good luck; fingers crossed!
