We Need Your Info!

Update #13 · Dec 17, 2012 · comment

Kickstarter supporters:  We still need home addresses from some of you so we can send you your respective reward packages.  The cd is finished and out, and we'll send it to you as soon as possible along with any other things that go with your donor level.  So please, send your addresses straight to us at: sfrancke15@gmail.com as soon as possible and then look for the cd in the mail.

Now it's on to the development, shooting and editing of the video, which we should have to you by late spring,  We'll be shooting it at St Dunstan's in March or April, then editing will begin.

Have a wonderful Holiday and look for the cd soon in your mailbox.

Stewart Francke, 12/17/12

Live Show @ St Dunstan's Theater on Saturday December 15!

Update #12 · Dec 9, 2012 · comment

Saturday, December 15 is the St Dunstan's Theater Show here in the Detroit area. For a quick and easy way to get tickets to the concert, just go to www.stdunstanstheatre.com and the first page will show you a flyer with a link to tix. There are only a few tickets left, so if you want to come out to the show, get them now or get them at the door.  Less than 30 tickets left with less than a week to go. Hope you can make it out--a charming room and new songs and new cds.

Attached is a song from the new cd, one of my favorites from the album called "Drive North."  Hope you dig it.  A rock'n'roll travelogue.

Clearing Up A Couple Questions

Update #11 · Dec 5, 2012 · comment

Hi all...I've had a couple questions come my way with some confusion over when Kickstarter supporters get their cd, how it's delivered, and when the shoot for the video will be.

Although Love Implied is currently out as a download at all digital stores, we will be mailing you your physical copy with a 20 page booklet, not assigning you a download.  The overall physical package that will accompany your cd includes lyrics, comments about the songs, and credits.  We tried not to spare any expense to make it a beautiful package.  You're free, of course, to send the download on itunes or Amazon as a gift during the Holidays, but the copy you'll receive will be your own physical copy.  We're waiting on the plant to deliver the cds; we'll then mail them immediately to you.

The other point of confusion is this:  The upcoming shows at St Dunstan's, the Magic Bag and the Pit & Balcony in Saginaw are not yet the live video shoot show.  That will occur sometime in March or early April, as we're still outlining the shoot, preparing production, going through years of footage etc.  You'll have lots of notice as to when that show happens, and you get to attend it.

You're of course encouraged to come to these shows happening now, as they all celebrate the release of the new cd and I'd love to see all of you.  Thanks for your support and patience...the creative process is moving as fast as it can.  We recorded, mixed and mastered Love Implied in two months, so that's pretty quick from point of conception, the Kickstarter campaign and the final result.

Take care and we'll talk soon,

Stewart

New link for St Dunstan's Show for tickets.

Update #10 · Dec 3, 2012 · comment
I understand the last couple links have not gone through to a ticketing source.  The theater folks say this will work: If you're coming to our 12/15 show at St Dunstan's, or thinking about coming, fans should go to www.ShowClix.com, then type "Stewart Francke" in the Search box. That will take them right to the ticket order page, where tickets can be purchased for $15. It should also be up very shortly on St. Dunstan's website. Thanks for your support.

Lean, Mean & Green

Update #9 · Dec 3, 2012 · comment

If I could take a quick opportunity to direct you to another kickstarter project eminently worthy of funding: It's a film (documentary) called Lean, Mean and Green, inspired by John Gallagher's book, "Reimagining Detroit". It's being made by Carrie LeZotte and a trailer can be viewed at this site below.  Thanks so much...she's got just 5 days to go and still needs a good portion of the $25,000 she's asking for.  Thanks to all of you for supporting arts and artists.  -- Stewart
