Hi. My name is Steve Rude and for those of you who don’t know me I’m a comic book artist best known for my comic, Nexus. I started in comcs in 1981 and have won every major industry award.
Every year I do a sketchbook and this year I’d like to add even more pages and make it full color. That’s where you guys come in. For 2013 we’re adding in pages from my sketchbook, original fine art paintings, and other commissions done over the past year. For everyone who preorders we’re offering an exclusive print of some of my favorite commissions.
This year our goal is $10,000 which covers the cost of printing and shipping this extraordinary sketchbook plus replaces our old scanner which went out earlier this year. Our sketchbooks are professionally printed and checked for color accuracy.
All copies of the sketchbook will be signed (except unsigned version). If you haven’t picked up past year sketchbooks we are offering these books at a discount along with digital versions. We even have an original painting for sale!

This will be our 9th sketchbooks and though I'd like to think we have most of the kinks worked out there's always something that comes up! We utilize Shipstation online to organize and automate email notifications. We have our printer lined up, a professional designer on board this year, and having funds will allow us to proceed with the printing without delays!
We give regular updates and special behind the scenes progress information and images including a sneak preview of the pdf going to everyone before the book even goes to the printer.

The $20 level is a discounted book that will not be signed. I'll note that error for the 2014 book. Sorry for the confusion!

Apologies to our Canadian buyers! This is our first time using Kickstarter and we didn't realize that the amount for shipping was fixed for all international destinations. While we are unable to fix it for this year, we did duplicate the 3 tiers with the Artist in Motion book so you are able to purchase and add the $40 on yourself.

The best option is the SHIRT/BOOK for $50 then add a flat amount of either $40 for the regular Artist in Motion or $60 for the Limited Edition Artist in Motion. Shipping for $40 for Canada or $60 for other international has to be added also.
Unfortunately, the book weighs in at 6 pounds! That makes in ineligible for First Class International and must be sent International Priority.
