A short film about a young girl's struggle to follow her passion when those closest to her offer nothing but doubt.
The Story
Emily is a high school senior on the verge of graduating. Like many high school seniors, she is preoccupied with thoughts about her future. Despite wanting to pursue her passion for photography, her family and her boyfriend are pressuring her to follow a "safer" path. Where To follows Emily as she confronts her loved ones about her final decision. The same night, a chance encounter with a stranger leaves her wondering if she has made the right choice and whether or not she should take it all back and make amends.
Our Work
Through our production company, Mupalia Pictures, we have shot many music videos and a handful of small shorts and commercials. A lot of our work can be seen at our website www.mupalia.com. For a quick sample of what we have accomplished with small budgets and a lot of time, talent, and effort, please watch our demo reel below.
Your Money
Fortunately, we've all been working together long enough to have a great pool of resources right here in Miami. This has always kept our production expenses to a minimum. In fact, we pride ourselves knowing that we can stretch shoestring budgets to reach the production value of videos costing tens of thousands of dollars.
Our goal of $3500 is the minimum we will need to go through with production on Where To. This money will be spent on equipment rental, location fees/permits, transportation, and food. If you're thinking, "That's a lot to cover with so little money," then you're beginning to understand how efficiently we work with small budgets.
Of course, we have some amazing rewards for those who donate, like that awesome t-shirt you see Steven wearing in the video.
