We did it! Thanks to everyone that helped me hit $100,000! It was a nail-biter, but we crossed the line with only a few minutes to spare.
I've had a ton of emails / comments with congratulations and a few common questions - so I thought I'd share a bit of detail in the first post-project update.
What have we been up to at the Premier Pen headquarters?
- Working with suppliers on a few packaging options. I'm trying to strike the right balance of usefulness, beauty and waste. What I DON'T want to do is create something that looks nice, but will just get thrown away after you've opened it. I'm looking into simple packaging that can act as a protective home to help keep your pens nice and safe.
- Waiting for the final batch of prototypes to arrive. They should be here this week (after an unexpected delay due to the anodizing factory being closed for a few days). If things are good with these, we'll start the massive product run - as well as getting out rewards to the first few backers! If there are any issues - then we'll be sending them back to ensure the P1 delivers as promised.
- Looking into a variety of fulfillment options. There are a ton of third-party companies that will do sorting, packaging and shipping, so I'm trying to understand the cost/benefit trade-off and what they need from me in order to be able to deliver (bar codes, etc.). Lots of research, lots of conversations. But I should have it all sorted before your pens start arriving here.

Q1. What if I forgot to add $10 fo International Shipping? (or $5 for the rounded back)
Q2. How do I get you my shipping details?
A. As we get closer to the ship dates, I'll be sending out a survey to each of the backers that covers both of these questions. In that survey, I will be asking for your mailing address and providing Paypal details for those that forgot to add money for shipping or the rounded back.
I'll post another update with photos of the prototypes as soon as I get them!

Hi Timothy - yep, all shipping with the 0.4mm ink. Raw + Black, shipping with Black Ink, Silver ships with Blue, Red and Green ship with Red and Green, respectively.
