Stephen Miller's Hymns Project will feature 12 historic, doctrinally rich hymns set in a modern pop rock alternative musical canvas.
Time is a great filter for us on what is helpful for the church as far as music for corporate worship goes. So many hymns are priceless gems that magnify the glory of God to us in very unique ways. For many, these priceless treasures are being lost because musically they are not as appealing as some of the modern songs out there today. That is why my band and I are recording some of our favorite hymns that have influenced and inspired us over the years.
We are going to walk through a historic liturgy to re-present the Gospel, not only within each song, but within the story that the songs tell in relationship to one other. We are really praying that the Lord would use this album to shape the Gospel in his people, and we believe that each portion of this liturgy tells a key component of the Gospel story.
