My name is Stephen Folker and I am the writer & director for the upcoming feature length film 'To Survive'.

What's The Movie About?

'To Survive' is a dramatic thriller revolving around a group of survivors in a lawless, post apocalyptic world.

How You Can Help?

As of now, the script is completed, the locations are locked, the actors are booked and the shooting schedule is ready.  But we're lacking one thing and that is the additional funds to bring this movie to life.  By backing our project, you're not only sharing your support for independent art, but also pre-buying a copy of the finished film. 

What Do The Funds Go Toward?

We've set a goal of $7500 for 'To Survive', roughly $500 more than Robert Rodriguez (Director of 'Spy Kids' and 'Once Upon A Time in Mexico') had when he made 'El Marachi 19 years ago. 

Even though times have changed and things have become more expensive, we can still make a quality feature length film today for not much more because of digital technology (aka no 'outrageous film or film processing fees), thus saving us thousands of dollars.  But we still have other expenses that must be covered.

They include the following:

* Sound Equipment

* Props (including blank firing guns and set design)

* Make-up

* Special FX

* Wardrobe

* Lodging (Most of our talented cast / crew are from Chicago and need a bed to sleep in)

* Food

Even with your generous contribution, there are still other things that will cost money that I plan on paying for out of my own pocket including an Editor, Film Festival entry fees & marketing.

With your help, we can obtain the necessary tools to make this film the best it can possibly be!

Talent Involved

This project has some great talent attached.  People that are not only passionate about their craft but are excited to take part in this project.  As of May 14th, locations have been finalized for the film, the schedule has been created and we just finished rehearsals in one of the movie's locations.  The lead actor flew in from L.A. and the remaining talent made the trip to Iowa from Chicago.  With the sheer level of commitment and talent involved, this project is bound to be a success.
