Steel City Improv Theater has found a new space in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh and we're raising $5000 to build it!

We were 100% funded in just 2 days. Now EVERY reward level, including the $5 level, gets a NEW 1" pin with our SCIT logo!
$7500 GOAL COMPLETED ON 9/22/2012 , we can get new entrance and exit doors and new and better external lighting.
$10,000 GOAL COMPLETED ON 9/27/2012 , we are now able to build raisers for seating in theater.
Here are our remaining stretch goals:
If we raise $12,500, we could build theater flats on the stage for entrances and exits and purchase new chairs for the performers on stage.
If we raise $15,000, we could add a drop ceiling to the class room, lobby and office. As well as new folding chairs for the classroom.

Steel City Improv Theater is a longform improv theater that offers improv classes and produces high quality, low cost improv shows.
After months of looking, we've found a new home in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. In this new space, we will have the room to build a bigger theater, classroom space, lobby, two bathrooms, an administrative office and a performer green room.
We'll also be able to offer more classes, shows and improv jams to further grow and develop the improv and alternative comedy community in Pittsburgh.
We're raising $5000 to cover the basic building costs, including materials, architect and contractor fees and permits.
The new SCIT will open January 11, 2013.
