Classic recordings by the greatest names in "Jazz" are being lost forever almost every day.
”Jazz Friends” has launched this Kickstarter page to help raise money to preserve and promote this truly American art form we call “Jazz”, while we produce the first interactive E Book for Jazz.
Old tapes discovered...Jazz is the treasure...Like an ancient parchment it can crumble...I tell her I can fix it...her eyes get big...her trust is in my hands...she sees me falter.... she tells me she knows a guy...... a guy that can tell us how to get the "Jazz" out of the tape without it turning to dust.......another guy damn......When I met Shelly Liebowitz of SRI Jazz he was excited by my project, "quite a find", "we need to add this work to a retrospective" he thought out loud, "an interactive retrospective" with video, and musical narratives accompanying the written word....this guy was ready...but I wanted to do the project with her.... Then Shelly told me about Kickstarter and how great projects are getting funded.
I was also excited to hear that Shelly had great content that we could add to our product from stars like, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Louie Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughan and Dizzy Gillespie. You get a taste of whats coming in our project video, and our rewards include CD's of these artists.
Guys this is a great project and so is the lady, we are "Jazz Friends". Let's enrich the world together. Here is a bit about Shelly who has the rights to the music and the production capability to help us achieve our project.
A veteran of more than 35 years in the entertainment industry, Shelly Liebowitz's diversified background allowed him to explore all facets of the music industry including writer, director, record promoter, record producer, and personal manager all leading into an executive career in recording and publishing companies. Additionally Shelly has an exceptional talent in creating extraordinary products that have long lasting impact.
The work will be interactive work consisting of written, spoken, and video narratives, along with digital music. This unique retrospective has been waiting to be served up on today's technology. The content is ideal for the IPAD, and the broader tablet market.
