Update #7: The Project Continues On
Dear Backers,
Hello again! We wanted to give you an update on the project which is still moving forward even though we didn't receive our Kickstarter funding as you know. At this point we have edited all of our digital photos, printed many of our 35 mm photos, and had one successful art show in Tallahassee with posters and framed and matted prints! We have uploaded more photos to our flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/squartzine) and we are currently building a real website to house all of our photos and make ordering prints even easier. Formatting and layout of the zine is underway and we should be ready to publish by February or March at the latest.
I also wanted to ask one more time, since you pledged interest in our project as a Kickstarter project if you would be willing to donate money through the PayPal link on our blog instead (http://squartzine.blogspot.com). We might not have made it to $2500 but $845 would go a long way to help us out of the dire financial straits we find ourselves in working on this project. Already, one amazing backer has transferred her pledge from Kickstarter to PayPal and we were able to use the money for part of our printing costs and we thank her greatly.
We still want to offer you the rewards you have signed up for and if there's any print that you see on our blog or flickr we would love to make it for you, we just need your help! If you have any questions about where the money goes or the project itself, our motivations and plans, please e-mail us squartzine@gmail.com
