I was wondering if there have been any word on when Kaiju City will be back.
Creator Jeffrey Norman Bourbeau on September 1, 2012
It still makes me sad. I was so excited for this project :(
Creator Wayne Smith on July 30, 2012
I agree Jeffery, there could have been more pledge levels with more insentives to back this project. I know Dragonfyre Studios is dedicated to having more involvement the next time Kaiju City hits Kickstarter. Still, 110 backers and almost 1/2 the money raised is not too shabby for the first time out. I bet the next time Kaiju City will hit its mark and become a game that Kaiju fans and gamers wanna back... and play for years to come!
Creator Jeffrey Norman Bourbeau on July 30, 2012
I think it's pretty obvious that the pledge levels of this campaign caused it's failure.
Creator Martin Gregory on July 25, 2012
I agree... I am scratching my head as to why this hasn't made it's goal already. I understand that the miniatures would be mega-expensive to get made, so I'm happy to go with standees, especially the newer versions. But there is still 4 days to go, who knows... Maybe some exclusive promos or something? A KS tile or kaiju? I like the idea of variant rules too.

Thanks for the kind words, Joseph. We've received a lot of feedback as to what folks are looking for in this type of game in order to back it. Many folks want to see miniatures for the cool factor and some folks wanted to see more options for players to play monsters vs. each other and the city, rather than just the team game.
Creator Joseph Soonsin Lee on July 23, 2012
I wondering what has people holding back on this project. Because to me it was a no brainer.
Creator Ryan the Lion on July 16, 2012
I got a chance to play the prototype at G-Fest and I am happy to report that this game delivers. The monsters feel varied and powerful and playing as the humans/city is surprisingly compelling as you desperately try to fend off the towering creatures that are out to crush you.

Thanks for the support guys, and anyone attending G-Fest this weekend be sure to stop by Frank's booth or look in the game area to find Jeremy demoing the game (http://www.g-fan.com/html/gfest_xix/gfest_xix.php)
Creator Ryan the Lion on July 11, 2012
I can't wait to see you guys at G-Fest!
Creator Wayne Smith on July 10, 2012
Thanks, Dan! I wish you guys the BEST this weekend at G-Fest!!! I wish I was going to help raise awareness for the game. I told Frank to make standees of the Dragonfyre Studios Kaiju for your guy to place at the Kaiju Dity table. We've got a pretty good following there so people should recongnize our Kaiju and bring some much needed funds to the cause.

That's a great idea for a stretch goal, Wayne!

Thanks Levi! I'm always glad to lend a hand. I just relaized I incorrectly listed Hajar Shetan and being in the game. It's actually the Grimalkin that's in the game. However, since Frank has included Hajar Shetan in the Kaiju City print, maybe they should inlcude this Kaiju in a special TIER to help raise the money for the game? The really cool thing about Hajar Shetan is that since it is an Earth Elemental Kaiju, it's appareance changes to reflect the earth that it is conjured up in. Frank has a molten deign for the Kaiju that ROCKS, which could be included in a special Kaiju Pack for people who pledge for the extra tier!!!

Martin, that's pretty much exactly what happened to all of my D&D figs.
Ryan, we're proud to have you on board!
Wayne, thanks for the support and for helping us out on this project.
Creator Wayne Smith on July 6, 2012
I'm glad to read all the postive comments, though I had very limited contribution to this game (designed the box cover), I did write the Illustrated Novels that contain the 4 Dragonfyre Studios Kaiju; Irokus, Hajar Shetan, Lukar & the Wendigo. It makes me feel proud to see them represented in the Kaiju City game! Hope everything goes good and this game gets made!!!
Creator Ryan the Lion on July 5, 2012
I'm very proud to say that this is the first project I've ever backed on Kickstarter. I'm a huge kaiju fan and I was on board the minute I watched the video for Kaiju City. The artwork looks amazing and the gameplay looks very compelling. I am waiting with baited breath and checking every day to see how the project is progressing. Good luck!
Creator Martin Gregory on July 5, 2012
3D Figures... If they were as awesome as the artwork I would even pay to get them as a add-on pack. I would have to guard them though, I'm sure they would end up out of the box and into my boys pockets.
Creator Zeiram on July 4, 2012
This looks like a lot of fun for me and my daughter. Terrific artwork. Good luck!

Thanks for the kind words, Jason and Guy!
Yep, we're focused on this first goal, but there's certainly room to stretch up to awesome 3D figures, etc.
Thanks for your support and for helping to spread the word!

Everyone needs to back this game. It was awesome when I play tested it. So much fun, easy to play and the games don't take 6 hours to play. My two young children will love this too.
Can't! Wait!
Creator Guy McLimore on July 2, 2012
I was SO disappointed in the "official" Godzilla board game that came out last year. Kaiju City looks like the kind of game that SHOULD have been. I hope we'll see some stretch goals once this takes off, like perhaps 3d plastic figures for the monsters or city expansion packs! I may just take a stab at doing cards for some Toho monsters and using my "candy toy" figures as playing pieces! As a game designer myself, I'm impressed with the fact that Kaiju City seems to have just the "feel" that the genre deserves. I am anxious to see the whole thing!
Creator Levi Mote on June 30, 2012
I know my boys love this game Martin and I'm sure you're right! Heck my little girl loves this game too, but then again any chance for her to stomp her brothers and she's in!
Creator Clever Mojo Games on June 29, 2012
Hmmm....maybe the younger gamers would like the print with just the line art, so they can color it themselves. I loved coloring books when I was a kid!
Creator Springboard ... Powered by Game Salute on June 29, 2012
Thanks for your support, Martin! Yep, that print is awesome. Just got the ink preview from Frank today. Can't wait for the final color version :)
Creator Martin Gregory on June 29, 2012
My two boys are gonna love this when they get older! Couldn't resist the print either.
