The Speaktoit Assistant campaign on Kickstarter is close to its end. It seems that we have not reached the goal set (your cards will not be charged).
Does that mean we are going to slowdown the development of the Assistant? Absolutely not! We have released several cool features in the last month and will continue to work hard on the Assistant.

How cool is it to have a personal assistant?! In your phone! You certainly heard about Apple’s insanely great assistant. But what if you don’t have an iPhone? There is also a talking assistant for Android. It’s called Speaktoit Assistant. It’s already in the Android Market. And it’s ready to assist you!
Now we invite you to help us make it even more useful than it is now. We have a huge plan with a lot of great skills to add. And we always listen to what our users ask and try to add the popular services as soon as we can.
With all the cool features that we’ve planned, you will get a new voice interface for your phone and other mobile devices. You won’t need to install hundreds of applications and search for them on your phone. You just tell your assistant what you need and it just does it for you. Easy!
In the course of the project we plan to release the following features:
1. Working with alarms and reminders, improved calendar integration
2. Reading your messages for you
3. New styles of avatars to choose and a serious look for serious businessmen
4. Option to change Assistant’s voice
5. Starting the Assistant by voice command
6. Integration with more services including table reservations, bookings, taxis, etc.
Of course, the Assistant will also come to other platforms including iOS, Windows Phone, Blackberry, Bada, tablets and a lot more. We also plan to teach the Assistant new languages.
Most of the money will go on food for our developers and linguists. They work a lot better when they get regular meals. With your help they will add new skills, cool features, improve productivity and everything else that is need to get a fantastic assistant for you mobile device.

The Assistant speaks only English at the moment. But we plan to teach it as many languages as we can.

We are a team of professional developers and linguists in the US and Europe. One day we were discussing that talking to mobile phones and asking them to do things is much easier than learning all the features and installing all the applications. So we talked a little more and started Speaktoit to work on the Assistant.
We are experienced in working with dialog systems and complex mobile applications. And we are very excited about the Assistant. We believe that soon it will be a new interface for mobile phones, desktops and other devices.
Speaktoit is a winner of Stanford SSE Labs Demo Day Competition and named among Top 100 most innovative companies in Europe by Red Herring.
