THE PROJECT

This project is the result of our love for food and our shared love of BBQ. Over the years, we've catered numerous events and barbeques. We've made many friends along the way. It was clear to us, as word spread, a demand for our BBQ sauce was growing!  Our hometown blend of barbeque sauce has now made us a favorite here in northern California.

Why Smokin Go's BBQ?

Have you ever tried to BBQ and you just could not get the flavor on your meat right? Are those ribs a little dry? No WOW! in those party wings? Well Smokin Go's is here to save the day!  The newest "GREAT TASTE" in BBQ Today!  Even if you aren't the greatest grill master, your meat will taste like it's been done by a pro!  Give Smokin Go's BBQ Sauce a try and it will make you a master of any BBQ!

We strive to continually develop and improve our products.  We have sold our sauces at local events and on the internet. We've received great feedback on our taste and texture. Simultaneously, we are working on designing new packaging utilizing high quality photography on the final package.  We are going from glass to a larger plastic bottle to provide our customers more sauce and bang for their bucks!  We are placing a stronger emphasis on brand and look to position our products for the competitive retail grocery market.

Our Vision

We've  have been selling our sauces mainly through word-of-mouth, local venues, and the internet.  Facebook and catering for clients have become the main focus of our marketing efforts.. We've only reached a fraction of our targeted market. Demand for our sauce is outgrowing our ability to supply. We have a growing customer base as well as a rapidly growing list of B2B and retailers anxious to carry our product. It's time for bottling again!  With your help, we plan to complete our trademark registration and execute a production run of our two BBQ sauces through our co-packer. When necessary, we can begin bottling our product on a smaller scale here locally in addition to our co-packer. This will enable us to satisfy our local bulk orders.  We plan to launch the two award-winners first: 18oz. Original Mild and 18oz. Smokin Hot BBQ sauces, as well as our 16oz. shaker of Smokin Go's BBQ Rub Seasoning. We should be able to supply retailers, B2B clients, and the general public by the fall of 2012.

What we are asking for

The purpose of our Kickstarter Fundraiser is to help raise the needed funds to produce a major production run of our two award-winning BBQ sauces and give our company needed funds to expand into the retail market.

Initially, we look to raise a minimum of $8,000 in 45 days -  The bulk of the funds derived from our Kickstarter supporters will go to help us secure our Co-packer.  Funds will also be used to purchase the following items: Trademark registration, purchase UPC codes, re-design our logo,  produce new labels, purchase bottles and final art design photography to complete our website.  If we're blessed, and able to raise over $12,000, then we will be able to compliment our two sauces with our full line of sauces.  If we raise over $20,000 then we will be able to produce, package and distribute our entire line of products listed below:

Smokin Hot – 18oz. or 64oz. plastic bottle

Smokin Go's All-Purpose Sauce – 12oz plastic bottle

Chicken Wing Sauce – 18oz. plastic bottle

BBQ Seasoning Rub – 12oz. Or 6oz. Plastic shaker

Seafood Seasoning – 6oz. Plastic shaker

Poultry Seasoning – 6oz. Plastic shaker

Cajun Seasoning – 6oz. Plastic shaker

Once production is completed, any remaining funds will go directly to marketing and distribution.  Our labels have been redesigned, we've contracted with our previous co-packer designated from our original production run.  Several locally owned stores here in Sacramento have shown interest in our sauce and products..
