Update #13: BACKER SHOW TONIGHT in nashville.
Beloved Backers, alas! our last update.
We have been humbled by the support of strangers and friends as we ring in the final day of our Kickstarter project.
Without you, we wouldn't have the funding to go out and hit the road. We're excited to start fulfilling the promises of the incentives and look forward to feedback on the album.
TONIGHT, in Nashville at 3rd and Lindsley, we will celebrate the successful funding of our project the best way we know how with a big ass rock show. Doors at 8:00 pm. We'll be playing after Jimmy Hall, Alex and Ryan's dad.
We hope to see some of you there, but with the majority of you all not living in Nashville, I guess we'll just have to use our van to come visit you in your town.
Get hype...!

Update #12: the COUNTDOWN begins.
beloved backers,
keeping it short and simple!
WE STILL WANT PEOPLE OUT THERE TO GET OUR ALBUM for a good cause.
We've hit our goal, now we want to keep the $10 album sales coming in.
keep in mind, kickstarter takes 10% of what is pledged and the actual van and trailer cost will be over $15,000 (which we expect to pay out of our pockets, of course, minus the generous backing pledges already on the site).
the incentive to have our backs is still there, with your help.
POST www.slowmotioncenterfold.com onto your facebook status!
that is all~

Update #11: HIATUS APOLOGY and band update~
Beloved Backers,
Typing with a hand in a cast is not easy.
...but there have been bigger tragedies going on in our world.
Many of you live in nashville and have seen the flooding crisis in person.
We were in it, literally, up to our necks on the day of our last update.
We played a killer show only a few hours after the floodwaters crept into our town, and well before most people knew how bad it was going to get (see a video clip of our bassist, in the flood, rescuing a child trapped in a car... not 200 yards from where Slow Motion Centerfold rehearses: http://www.wsmv.com/video/23426032/index.html)
A broken pinky and stolen equipment would have been the reward, were it not for all of you guys coming out, backing us and showing your support for this band.
A hand heals, just as a robber can break into our rehearsal house and steal $5,000 worth of equipment (a week ago) but CANNOT steal our music.
This music now belongs to all of you, and all of the future fans of this band.
CONTINUE TO HELP US PROMOTE by telling your friends how close we are.
Facebook update or email this link to people you think would like the music: www.slowmotioncenterfold.com !
We will hit or goal, we know this. You know this. It puts an energy in every waking moment as we upload and re-upload our kickstarter page when we get an email notification of a new backer. We see your names, 122 strong, and we know that you are all the beginning.
Once we hit our goal, there will still be a lot of time left to promote the continued sale of the album on this website. There are 23 days left and no limit on how far over our goal we are allowed to go. Every dollar over the $10,000 will go to save up on gas money for the road. Every $10 album that we sell gets us a little bit closer to the pavement of the interstate and the smell of those small backstages in rock venues across the country.
see you there... very soon.

we are opening for some great bands and playing a venue we've had our eyes on for awhile.
