I've always had an urge to play top down space shooters, but none of them have ever really enticed me enough. I feel like the genre is really missing out on some potential. Why are we not allowed to leave our ship? Why can't we walk around space stations or go down onto planets? Games are meant to unleash imagination but most games are so restrictive. SlipSpace is my attempt to open it up, try and let players do more, experience more variety of gaming within a single universe. I have a mix of recent influences, including S.P.A.Z, FTL and even Spore!
