Two years ago we set out as a scrappy, raucous yet refined outfit in DC. We are recording a second album to bring more music to you!
In 2010 we set out as a scrappy outfit in the DC area playing a raucous but refined blend of traditional roots music: Appalachian & Midwestern old time and bluegrass, New Orleans traditional jazz, haunted Irish fiddle tunes, and gypsy swing. Since then we’ve played at farmers markets, taverns, street corners, barn dances, porches and music clubs.
In April 2012, we started laying down tracks for a full-length CD of traditional old time, jazz and Irish tunes. We are putting lots of love into this record at our home studio, and we are excited to take our musical craft to the next level.
This time around we wanted to make our recording sessions more awesome by getting them professionally made rather than our usual DIY approach. That's why we are turning to YOU to make this second recording possible. Through your love and support, we have the goal of raising $3,500 to pay for professional mixing, mastering, manufacturing, distribution, and design. In addition, we need your support to buy the required licenses for a few classic tunes not in the public domain.
We believe in making music for the community rather than going through mainstream channels, and we know that you think the same.

Everything in the $250 category -- and the Stompers will play a 2 hour set at your wedding or business event with a full sound system and subsequent awesomeness. Or, we can still play at a house party and design and sign a fancy custom poster printed especially for your house show. You can frame and cherish said poster for ages. If you don't live within 250 miles of the DC area, we will make a poster for you and record you ANY song you like, or even write you a new one. You will also be listed in the liner notes as an "Exceptionally Awesome and Wildly Attractive Person. And Did I Mention Briskly Intelligent and of High Class?".
