NYC's official #1 brass band for BalkanSoul GypsyFunk is making our first vinyl record, and we need your support.
Slavic Soul Party! is recording a new album, and we're asking for your help to make it happen – our first vinyl record ever! The plan is to record for two days in May and release the album in the fall on Barbes Records. With at least 10 musicians, two engineers, two days of studio time, editing, mixing, and mastering, it takes a lot of money... and that's before we buy beer. We've got lots of great incentives, many of which are exclusive to our Kickstarter campaign, like SSP! hoodies, exclusive downloads, and a private party and feast. So for all of you who ask us "which album has that tune that goes buh buh dee-dee dah?" and get "oh that's a new one that isn't recorded yet": here's the solution.
We don't want to show all our cards yet, but let's just say we plan to include some special guests on a few tracks. Like Eva Salina Primack! Oops, did we just say that?
