About the film...
Psycho Chicks Anonymous is a documentary-style comedy about a support group for men in extremely dysfunctional relationships. These range from a young man whose clingy girlfriend changed his entire way of living to an elderly veteran whose wife is literally trying to kill him! PCA takes a very humorous look at just how crazy some people can get once the honeymoon is over.
After almost a year of hard work and dedication by a large cast and a small crew of volunteer filmmakers, Psycho Chicks Anonymous came out of the editing room in the summer of 2010. Since then it has been screened a few times and the viewers (both men and women) very often express to us how they can immediately identify with at least one of the characters or know someone who has "been there".
What the money is for...
Psycho Chicks Anonymous is truly an independent guerrilla film that was completely self-financed by the crew during production. With all of the excitement we've seen from the screenings, we feel that PCA deserves a much wider audience.
Unfortunately, we've also run out of money to give it the publicity it deserves.
Your generous donations will help us complete the bonus features and get Psycho Chicks Anonymous out on DVD. It will also help us spread the word about the film through paid advertising and keep adding content to our alternative reality-style website at www.PsychoChicksAnonymous.com
We set our goal for the bare minimum we'd need to get the film out to the public on DVD with a little advertising, but we've got dozens of promotional ideas that would require a lot more.
The success and popularity of Psycho Chicks Anonymous would greatly help us attract the attention we need to get started on our next original feature film project in 2011.
