It's a Cliffhanger!
Supporters of The Silver Cord,
Yikes, can we make it? We are within 48 hours of the deadline and still shy of our goal by $11,000. Looking at the trend line over the past three weeks, it indicates that at current rates we will miss the total. That means there will be no concluding book.
Unless you do something extreme! If you really do want to find out what happens to Tasi, robots and the angels, you might consider doubling your pledge, or stepping up a level. Or you may consider tweeting about it (again), or Facebooking your friends about the final few hours left to make this work.
We are heartened by the intense and dramatic support for this story, and it kills us that we might get so close, and yet have to let all this support slip away.
I don't expect most of our supporters to be extreme. But I do figure there may be a few true fans who liked the story so much that they, like us, can't stand the idea of this graphic novel going unfinished, and can't stand letting the current support vaporize.
We have 48 hours to retain or loose the support so far. With your help I do think we can make it!

I bumped up my pledge, but I think Juergen is right. Something must be wrong with the way the word is being put out. The people involved have just too much history and credentials for this not to succeed.

Juergen was onto something. I just pledged after seeing the post on Cool Tools. :)

Hey Kevin... I'm behind you, I already upped my pledge, but I have to tell you this: it's YOU who needs to do something extreme, not us backers. Only 495 backers? You haven't been doing enough to beat the publicity drum. Yeah BB has helped you out, but you need to go and actively solicit help from others... you've got the connections, call them in! And you need to leverage you own site better... TSC may not be a tool, but Cool Tools is a blog and you're alowed to abuse it a bit. I don't think too many people enter your site through the front page. Go Kevin, don't let down the 500 of us who are already behind you!
