What can we say other than...
THANK YOU!!! Over the past 27 hours or so, we've not only doubled our goal, we've almost tripled it! A huge thanks to Kickstarter for featuring us in their newsletter, and even bigger thanks to ALL of you for the incredible support. We had no idea how much interest this project would spark. In addition to the monetary donations, we've received some great advice, suggestions, invitations to visit along the journey (we can't wait!), offers to contribute, and just general hi-fives. We love hearing from you all, so please feel free to send us a message anytime.
Many of your questions have encouraged us to create an FAQ section for our project. So please do check it out, just under the project description. And keep those questions coming!
We promise to post some audio to an update in the very near future.

Congratulations - how wonderful for you to meet your goal and then some!!!
I was recently in Kazakhstan, working with a group in Shauldere - two men had come up from Samarkand to build looms for us.
The younger of the two had music on his cell phone - the first 6 songs were by Fifty Cent.
This young man was a devout Muslim and had no idea what the lyrics meant as he spoke no english - but he told my translator that he really liked Fifty Cent's music - that he was #1!
