Who is ShuBrew?
It's magic time and we need your help!
ShuBrew is a concept for a craft brewery based in the northern Pittsburgh area and your next local brew pub! We not only promise excellent brews, but also high quality food offered to you in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Just because we say high quality does not mean we are serving fine dining; we want to offer more simple, seasonal foods that are made with fresh, flavorful, local ingredients and taste great with your beer.
Don't have time to stay? Take a growler of one of our small-batch handcrafted brews to go and enjoy your favorite ShuBrew at home.

What ShuBrew Will Be...
Just like our branding we are fun, creative, and open-minded ready to take on the challenges of operating a brew pub. During our first few years of operation we will run the brewpub and serve beer in-house or growlers to go. Our menu will be small, but continuously updated and will change with the season. We will initially offer four constant release beers and one rotational beer. As a family of Shumakers we found it fitting to name our beers after a different style of shoe and had a local artist draw the logos for each. You can check out more details about each beer and its' shoe on our web page! Our initial beer offerings will be the following:

- Galosha Raptor, American Pale Ale
- Black Beard's Booties, Black IPA
- Jungle Boot IPA, American IPA
- Murphy's Paw, TBA

Why Should You Invest?
Making the beer or food is not a problem; however, buying the equipment and supplies needed is and we need your help to fund our dream. This is a win-win situation.....you get a great local brew pub to hang out at and we get to follow our passion. ShuBrew will also support the community by purchasing ingredients for both the food and beer from local suppliers and farmers. We would also like to become involved with activities that support the surrounding communities such as hosting beer tasting events to help benefit other local organizations.
Not only will we offer an establishment quite unlike any currently available in this area, but we are also innovators and will always bring you something new and creative to eat or drink without compromising our standards of quality. We have the business acumen and brewing knowledge that is necessary to bring this project to you and make it a successful venture. By brewing smaller batches we give ourselves the freedom to experiment with new tastes and are open to using non-traditional ingredients, as in our Galosha Raptor Pale Ale which features tangerines and pink peppercorns. We also want to get involved with collaborative brewing efforts. We never look at other craft breweries as competition, but rather as partners in an ongoing effort to progress our industry.
If we raise the funds we need, ShuBrew would like to be open for business by 2013. We are currently looking at real estate in the Cranberry Township and Mars/Seven Fields area.

How Do I Help?
If you've never used Kickstarter before, here is the scoop. We need help getting our project off the ground, so we reach out to people like yourselves that may share a similar interest in making ShuBrew come to life so you have a really awesome brewpub to hang out at.
We have 60 days to reach our goal. If we don't reach it we don't get any of the money that was pledged. If we do reach it, we get to keep it and make our brewpub your reality. If we go beyond it we are going to be able to do it faster and better (so that's what we are really hoping for).
Read over the incentives on the right-hand side and decide which perks you are interested in. The benefit to you is that the more you offer the better the value because the prizes are cumulative. The only exception to that is if you get one of our Shmug Club memberships you don't get every membership level offered below. For example, if you choose Platinum you don't also get the Gold, Silver and Bronze memberships. You do however get all the other cool rewards in the previous levels.
Anything helps, so even if you can't reach our lowest reward level you can make it up to us. Every dollar counts.. so donate a dollar if that's all you can do :) The other big way you can help is to tell EVERYONE about this page and what we are doing. The more we get this networked the greater chance we have at succeeding. We mean it.. EVERYONE!
