About this project

Seeing is believing.

One day, I saw a girl pull a backflip on a dirt bike. It was FREAKIN' amazing! I thought, if this is happening, what else are girls doing that I don't know about? Turns out, they are doing all sorts of cool stuff, so why aren't we seeing it?.

WHAT IS ADVENTURE GIRLS?
.Adventure Girls is a film that tells the stories you probably haven't heard about, but totally want to see. Women who take risks, who dream big, who follow their passion and live lives of adventure.

We have traveled thousands of miles filming interesting women all over the country: artists, firefighters, athletes, entrepeneurs, mums and more, and want to showcase these amazing women in a feature length documentary.

WHY DOES ADVENTURE GIRLS NEED TO BE MADE?
1. These stories are too awesome to be ignored.
2. When we see someone like us doing something fantastic, it inspires us to realize HEY, I CAN DO THAT TOO!
3. Girls should have more to watch than wealthy socialites and vacant celebrities.
4. Mums, grandmas and spinster aunties like me, should see that women of all ages are still out there rockin', taking risks, and pursuing their dreams regardless of their circumstances.
5. There's so much MORE to being a girl than being SKINNY, RICH, & SCANDALOUS

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
We have more stories to film and many, many long hours of editing and we need your help to keep Adventure Girls in motion. We're soooooo close and we want to have it ready to share as soon as possible, but we have exhausted our resources.

We have been entirely self-financed up to this point, which means six months of driving a teeny car overflowing with gear (playing tetris comes in handy), sleeping on couches (some more comfortable than others), eating lots of porridge (because it's cheap) and batting eyelashes at every talented crew member to keep them working for free.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Help us inspire women of all ages with the stories of these amazing role models. Your contribution will go to: travel expenses, equipment rental costs, keeping our editor flowing with sugar and caffeine, and promotional material costs.

By reaching our basic financial goal we will be able to finish filming and edit all this amazing footage into an energetic, action filled film over the next two months. Each and every dollar we can raise above our goal will help immeasurably. The more funds we can raise, the more stories we can tell, and the better job we can do of telling them. In short, the more we raise, the better the film will be.
