T-Shirts, CD Shipping Date, Advanced Copies & Video

Update #17 · Jul 24, 2011 · comment

Howdy, backers!

First, I've been getting some e-mails from folks concerned that their t-shirt and CD have not arrived yet. That's because we haven't yet reached the album's release date. I have not forgotten you! The shirts are being printed as I type. BUT to save me a great deal of expense I'm mailing shirts and CDs at the same time - so you'll get ONE package from me on August 30th - that's the official release day of Third World Symphony. I'll send your package out on August 26th, giving the USPS four whole days to deliver. (I'll ship overseas a week earlier.)

Next up, advanced copies of Third World Symphony have been sent via e-mail. I sent out the link to an advance copy of Third World Symphony a few days ago, and a link to the demos for those who qualified to receive those as well. If you qualify but did not receive your e-mail, please let me know at shaun@shaungroves.com and I'll get that link out to you asap.

Third, I've got a little video to share with you. You can watch this small version here or go to Vimeo.com or Youtube.com to watch the full-sized version. It explains how God used one little girl to bring more direction to my life and music - and where the album's title came from. If you like this video, please share it on Facebook or Twitter by pasting its URL into a status update. Or post it on your blog.

Last, you may know that I tour for free on behalf of Compassion International. Any church can simply e-mail us at booking@shaungroves.com to being me to their city to speak or sing or both free of charge. BUT...now we're adding a band for a limited time only. For $1000 any church can bring me and a band (with real live banjo!) to their city. We're doing this for only two weeks - September 9-18 - and I wanted you all to have first shot at booking one of these special Third World Symphony concerts.

We love to receive encouragements like "Please come to such-and-such church!" but what we really need is an e-mail from the person who will act as promoter for the concert or speaking engagement - the person who will be in charge and working closely with us to make the concert a success on every level. If you're that person please e-mail booking@shaungroves.com quickly. We'd love to hear from you!

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Bragging on you guys every chance I get. There's no way this record could have been made without you. Thank you!

-Shaun

Two Important Additions!

Update #15 · Jul 12, 2011 · comment

Thanks, once again, for a little of your time. I'll be very brief so you can get back to life asap.

First up, our family grew over the weekend. Read all about the new addition here.

Secondly, the first official press release about Third World Symphony has been written. And you're the first to see it. Go to http://bit.ly/3WS-Release to read it. Includes some bragging about you guys and your ability to so quickly fund this project, a quote from Wess Stafford (president of Compassion International) and a link to hear the entire album on-line if you haven't yet.

That's all for now!  Thank you, again, for your support of this record.

-Shaun

That last update I sent out had an incorrect link to the new album in it. If you'd like to hear the new album in its entirety go here: http://bit.ly/thirdworldsymphony
