Kickstarter

The Goner Prologue is a short film I wrote and directed last fall.  It was the result of failing to raise the money needed for The Goner, a longer film which I had originally planned to make last summer.  The purpose of the prologue is to tell a brief story that will introduce audiences to the characters and situations that will eventually unfold in The Goner.  By doing so I hope to raise both interest and funds for The Goner as well as The Goner Epilogue, another brief film that wraps up the events of the main film and completes The Goner Short Film Trilogy.  So now that the prologue is complete I need to get it out to audiences to generate that potential interest and money.  And that's why I'm back on Kickstarter, giving it another go.

My hope is to raise at least $1500 in four weeks for DVD packaging, film fest submissions and to get this short out to audiences across the country by the end of this year.  If you contribute there are various rewards available, from copies of the film to invitations to a screening party coming up later this spring.  So please, if possible, help me, my cast and my crew get this unique and beautiful short the exposure it deserves.  Thank you!

ONE LAST THING:  For those of you unfamiliar with Kickstarter it is possible to exceed the amount of the goal.  $1,500 is the bare minimum needed for me to achieve my current rather modest aim; however surpassing the goal will allow me to submit the film to even more festivals and promote it more thoroughly with additional materials such as posters and flyers.  So please -- even if the goal is reached in the coming days -- continue to share this project with friends and family.  Thanks again!
