Things Found On The Ground is a coming of age story that explores the experiences and disappointments of human frailty, and how we can grow to understand and love each other, regardless of our inevitable flaws. Jane has to deal with disappointments in relationships, and facing the hard truth that people just screw up sometimes, and that is okay.
TFOTG will be shot on a shoestring budget, thanks in part to the growing quality of digital cinema, and in part to the talented people involved with the project. Expenses for TFOTG will help give the film the boost it needs in order to look cinema-worthy, and also will allow us to provide a slight compensation for the very generous people involved!
Here is the breakdown of the budget:
$200: Extra lighting
$100: On-camera food
$1,000: Food for cast & crew
$550: Gas compensation for cast & crew
$200: Just-in-case situations
$150: Kickstarter rewards
We are going to begin filming in Wisconsin this coming summer! There will be a 2 and a half week shoot starting the second week of August, and then another week of shooting in January (2013) for the "winter" scenes.
Whether you’re donating, sharing the Kickstarter link, or chatting with us about the project, we thank you from the top to the bottom of our hearts for your support! We are always interested in hearing more about you guys and your projects (or your OWN collection of “things found on the ground”!). Feel free to chat us up by following us on Facebook and Twitter. To keep up to date with everything TFOTG, please check back regularly for Kickstarter updates or follow our blog, which will be updated every Thursday!
