Jane's older sister just got knocked up by her boyfriend.

Jane does not like her sister's boyfriend.

Jane's father is a recent Christian and a recovering alcoholic.

Jane is a lot like her father, therefore they don't get along.

Jane has a friend named Darci.

Darci is the complete opposite of Jane.

Jane has a friend named Ethan.

Ethan is in love with Jane.

Jane is in love with collecting stuff.

THE PREMISE

Things Found On The Ground is a coming of age story that explores the experiences and disappointments of human frailty, and how we can grow to understand and love each other, regardless of our inevitable flaws. Jane has to deal with disappointments in relationships, and facing the hard truth that people just screw up sometimes, and that is okay.

THE BUDGET

TFOTG will be shot on a shoestring budget, thanks in part to the growing quality of digital cinema, and in part to the talented people involved with the project. Expenses for TFOTG will help give the film the boost it needs in order to look cinema-worthy, and also will allow us to provide a slight compensation for the very generous people involved!

Here is the breakdown of the budget:

$200: Extra lighting

$500: Locations

$100: On-camera food

$1,000: Food for cast & crew

$550: Gas compensation for cast & crew

$200: Just-in-case situations

$150: Kickstarter rewards

$300: Kickstarter/Amazon

THE SHOOT

We are going to begin filming in Wisconsin this coming summer! There will be a 2 and a half week shoot starting the second week of August, and then another week of shooting in January (2013) for the "winter" scenes.
