Hi. I'm Dannielle and when I was just a tiny child I inherited over 700 pairs of salt and pepper shakers (http://shakers.tumblr.com) from my great-grandmother, Verna May Roberts. I have since found homes for a good number of them, but still (15 years later) have a "crap ton" that are still in foster care (aka my living room).
You see, I'm moving to New York City this spring (to follow my dreams) and I can't possibly bring them all with me, but there's NO WAY I'm leaving them on the streets to fend for themselves. It's a scary world out there and no one should have to live this crazy life alone.
My goal is to find a good home for every pair of shakers before my lease runs out (March 31, 2010). They're all good shakers, none of them have ever been any trouble to me, and I want them well-respected and cared for as long as they live. $10 gets you one pair of shakers. 500 shakers at $10 each is $5,000. So that's my goal! If every shaker doesn't find a home, no one gets a home...depressing, right?
