You're Invited to the BlackStar Studios Birthday Bash!
BlackStar Studios would like invite each of you to our One-Year Anniversary & Fundraising party on Sunday, October 23rd, from 6:30 to 9:00 at the SoHo Gallery for Digital Art (138 Sullivan Street, New York, NY). The party will include wine & cheese, and the chance to meet and talk with members of the development team.
As a NYC-based publisher we are creating a fantasy and sci-fi gaming world based in real-world history, realism, and the natural and social sciences. The Shadowlands emphasizes these sciences in every aspect of development, in world-building, art, and writing of adventure modules.

This is a chance for everyone in the New York area to come meet & greet that team.The fundraising is in tandem with this Kickstarter and is similarly for the upcoming release of our two books: Tarina Guidebook and The Gates of Tarina adventure module. These books represent the first products of the Shadowlands Campaign Setting and product line. Following the pattern of Pathfinder RPG’s default setting, Golarion, these first products detail only one small part of the Shadowlands world, with other regions to be the focus of future publications.
The launch of Shadowlands marks the climax of over 15 years of world-building. Designers include experts in physics, linguistics, military intelligence, sociology, philosophy, and a host of other disciplines.
Industry writers on the project include Stephen DiPesa (White Wolf) and Jaye Sonia (Rhune, Open Design, Kobold Quarterly). Also contributing are industry artists Ben Wootten (Wizards of the Coast, Paizo), Jonathan Roberts (Fantastic Maps), Michael Arrington (Acacia Games), John Cason, and lead artist Ambrose H. Hoilman.
We are asking everyone who attends to make the step you already have and to consider making a small donation to our Kickstarter. To all of you who have already given, this is our chance to meet and personally thank you and to tell you more about the project, and hopefully to get you excited to spread the word and encourage others to join in.
